Quality Engineer Jobs

Quality Engineers are heavily involved in quality assurance practices across a variety of industries, including energy, aerospace, engineering, rail and construction. They monitor and test products or infrastructure to ensure they meet the industry standards.

Typically, people in this role are responsible for assessing the quality of manufactured goods to find out how defects and issues are caused and how they can be prevented in future, suggesting process revisions and recommendations to improve the product. The same is also true of large infrastructure projects where the role of both junior and senior Quality Engineers is vital in ensuring successful project outcomes.

Quality Engineers typically have university degrees in quality, mechanical or industrial engineering and may have additional industry certifications such ISO 9001. In addition, previous experience and good IT skills are usually required.
