Permanent and Contract Nuclear Jobs

Whether you become a nuclear engineer, technician, or other; nuclear jobs pertain to the safe operation and focus of nuclear power stations. These are high-pressure and hazardous positions, but they can be incredibly fulfilling for the right applicants.

Admittedly, the high-risk nature of jobs like these means that qualifications should be a given from any applicant. In most cases, an employer will expect you to have at least five GCSEs at A* - C (levels 4-9). Applicable university-standard education is also a benefit. Many employers prefer individuals who have studied either a foundation degree, higher national diploma, or degree in courses such as nuclear or mechanical engineering.

Of course, skill sets don’t end there. Most nuclear jobs also require more basic skills, including:

● Knowledge of engineering science, physics, and maths

● Analytical thinking skills

● Observation skills

● Attention to detail

● Strong verbal communication

● Some understanding of hand-held devices

If you think you’ve got what it takes, then don’t hesitate to get searching.
