Job description

Our client is currently looking for a Division Manager, where you will have the opportunity to lead a high performing team dedicated to delivering diverse municipal infrastructure planning, design, and construction projects focused on linear water, drainage, and wastewater conveyance systems, as well as, pump stations, treatment plants, and hydrotechnical engineering. You will be working out of the firms Vancouver office.


*Develop new business opportunities and establish strategic relationships with key clients, agencies, and partners
*Lead diverse municipal engineering and water resources projects; envision, manage technical, logistical, and financial aspects, and carry out engineering design from proposal stage through to commissioning
*Collaborate with branches across the region and company to support local projects
*Assist the Branch Manager in branch operations including business development, workload, staffing, equipment, safety, quality, and financial outcomes
*Assist the Branch Manager in developing and executing branch strategic plans and budgets
*Represent the firm to the external environment including clients, business partners, and professional associations to enhance company's positive public profile.


*Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an accredited university with strong technical skills and 10+ years of related technical experience in municipal and environmental engineering and water resources
*Experience with all government levels, construction contractors, and developers would be an asset
*Registration in good standing as a Professional Engineer in British Columbia or ability to obtain registration through existing inter-jurisdictional agreements
*Practical experience in watershed and drainage studies, drainage infrastructure design and construction, and understanding of stormwater guidelines, policies, and bylaws is an asset
*Technical knowledge and experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and calculations. Knowledge of standard computer modelling software packages such as PC-SWMM, InfoWorks, Mike 2020, HEC-RAS, WaterCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or similar software
*Experience in developing other calculation algorithms such as water balance models and climate change analysis
*Familiarity with Arc-Map/GIS or similar GIS-based software
*Proven ability to develop and retain clients, win projects, and consistently provide high quality deliverables on time and on budget
*Demonstrated sound business development skills
*Aptitude for leadership, continuous learning, knowledge sharing and relationship building
*Proficient in anticipating problems and executing appropriate solutions
*Ability to prioritize, delegate responsibilities, and motivate others to produce high-level results
