Job Title
Quantity Surveyor / Project Quantity Surveyor

Warrington, Manchester, Liverpool, Cheshire

Salary / Benefits
£38,000 - £48,000 per annum

Start Date
Immediate starts available, dependant on notice period

Company Information
My client is a busy and successful Engineering specialist delivering New Build, Operations and Maintenance and decommissioning projects across the Nuclear, Oil & Gas and Defense sectors.

To be suitable for the position you must have
- 4years + experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- BSc in Quantity Surveying
- Strong NEC knowledge working on tendering, claims and disputes
- Cash flow, cost controls, cost modelling experience
- Commercial experience in infrastructure including civils, power or defence on new build projects

Although not essential it would also be advantageous if you have
- Good understanding of FIDIC contracts
- Experience of working within the nuclear industry
- Main contractor experience in construction, civils, power or defence on new build projects

Role Information
- Utilise the client's best practice tools and processes to support project delivery in Quantity Surveying.
- Manage projects through the entire project lifecycle.
- Prepare cost plans and tender documentation using various forms of measurement and contracts.
- Be proficient in measurement for Schedule of Works and Bills of Quantities production.
- Prepare and agree interim valuations with contractors and issue recommendations for payment.
- Pricing variations throughout the duration of the contract and provide cost advice.
- Attend site meetings, and provide input and support to the project.
- Price and prepare monthly financial cost reports and cashflow forecasts throughout the period of a contract.
- Agree re-measurement of quantities with contractors, and prepare and agree final accounts and claims. -Prepare final accounts for clients.
- Preparation and analysis of statistical cost information to monitor trends in the nuclear Industry and assisting with cost planning future projects.
- Administer and provide advice on contracts, typically the NEC forms of contract.
