Job Title
Project Manager (Water). My client is also keen to hear from Contracts Managers, and Senior Project Managers.

Midlands - Ideal for those looking for work close to Stoke on Trent. UK sites visits will be required.

Hourly rate
£280 - £300 per day, negotiable depending on experience

Initial 3 month contract with a view to extend, or go permanent

The Project Manager would be working on the Thames Tideway Tunnel Project which is what we have with all three JV's split into East/West & Central. The Thames Tideway Tunnel Project started construction in 2016 and will take seven to eight years to complete giving a target completion date of 2023 at a cost of 4.2 billion. Once constructed, the main tunnel will have an internal diameter of 7.2 m and will connect 34 of the most polluting combined overflows (CSOs), via transfer tunnels, and is expected to reduce the number of overflow events into the Thames.
Contract to design/manufacture/test & Install all Flap Valves, Isolation Gates and Penstocks on the project. The project manager will be working and supporting our senior Project Manager who is currently manging the project across all three JV's. The intention is that the Project Manager will eventually manage one of the JV areas until completion.

To be suitable for the position you must have;
- Proven working experience in project management
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project
- Experience of working in the water Industry would be a distinct advantage

Although not essential it would also be advantageous if you have;

- IOSH Managing Safety
- CSCS Card
- SMSTS Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (Preferred)
- HNC or Degree in Construction Management.

Role Information
The role requires a dynamic individual with good inter-personnel and management skills who can manage resources and stakeholders and who can perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to; coordinating all resources; setting deadlines; assigning responsibilities; monitoring and communicating progress of the project to senior management.
