Job Title
Planning Technical Administrator/ Planning Assistant

Ideally suited to those located in the Anglia region based in Northampton, Bedford, Kettering or Milton Keynes.

Day rate
£10 - £12 per hour

My client is offering an initial 3 months contract with a view to extend of take someone on permanently.

Project Information
Navartis are currently working very closely with a UK wide civil engineering organisation that specialises in maintaining the water infrastructure within the UK. Due to an increase in workload, my client is currently on the lookout for a planning administrator to join the team, the successful candidate will work alongside the current planner and jointly report into the planning manager. In this role you will be required to support and assist the planner with all associated admin, this will include monitoring and allocating the mailbox, creating viewing and amending records. Assisting in admin associated with issuing street works notices, assisting with scheduling grab reports as well as collating and filing work packs. The role initially is as a 3 month trial to ascertain if the business would benefit from someone joining the team in a permanent capacity, therefore the successful candidate would take up the role fulltime from contract.

To be suitable for the position you must have
- Data handling experience
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Knowledge of the specification of highways works
- The ability to demonstrate a good standard of IT skills
- Proven experience of being methodical, organised, paying attention to detail and working to deadlines

Although not essential it would also be advantageous if you have
- Background experience in construction & utilities
- Knowledge of New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and Traffic Management Act 2004

Role Information
Carrying out mailbox admin including allocation, archiving and processing as appropriate. Creating records, amending and viewing of corporate systems including SAP / Click / Gnet / Corporate Databases etc. Adherence to tight deadlines and prioritising work load. Assist with the administration of Street Works notices, scheduling grab support and scheduling reinstatements. Collating and filing of work packs in readiness for construction
