Responsibilities
*Manage Site Plan related projects, including water, sewer and roadway design and storm water management (experience working with the City of Toronto is preferred).
*Obtain land development approvals acting as a liaison between clients and approving authorities.
*Be involved through all project stages, from definition, through planning, design, and construction using your demonstrated abilities to recognize opportunities, understand client needs and manage and deliver projects.
*Schedule projects and meet deadlines.
*Prepare proposals, feasibility studies, and functional service reports; develop cost estimates, tenders, and specifications.
*Prepare reports to investigate field and design problems.
*Prepare detailed design calculations and layouts.
*Conduct site visits and inspections.
*Participate in business development and liaise with clients.
Requirements
*Degree in Civil Engineering.
*Minimum 5 to 7 years' experience in similar role.
*Must have Professional Engineering Designation.
*Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
*Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
*Effective organizational and interpersonal skills to work within a team and customer oriented environment.
*Strong self-management and technical writing skills.
*Strong client management skills with excellent verbal and write communication skills.
*Ability to coordinate and prioritize workload to meet deadlines, with strong focus on attention to detail.
*Strong financial and project management skills.
*Team player with a positive attitude.
*Strong work ethic, motivation and judgment skills.
*Valid driver's license in Ontario.
*Ability to multitask, problem solve, and work effectively under strict deadlines.
