Job description

Job Title:
Head of Health, Safety and Environment also interested in Hearing from senior level safety professionals that have had experience covering a Head of Safety role.

Location:
West Midlands/London dependant on location of candidate with travel to other office.

Salary / Benefits:
£70,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependant on experience. plus, car allowance, healthcare, pension and 33 Holiday days.

Start Date:
ASAP

To be suitable for the position you must have;
- Have at least 4 years previous experience at senior level for the delivery of EHS Services within a Rail or Traffic environment.
- Hold a minimum BSc in a relevant subject.
- hold a NEBOSH Diploma or similar level H&S qualifications
- hold a CMIOSH qualification
- Environmental Qualifications or Membership to IEMA
- Be an effective communicator with a track record of engaging senior stakeholders
- Managed teams of EHS Specialists or an EHS Service function.

Although not essential it would also be advantageous if you have;
- Lead investigator qualifications

Role Information;
- To support the business in achieving the best possible HSQE standards across the whole business.
- To support the delivery of the corporate environmental and sustainability strategy within the business.
- Manage and Lead EHS operational teams.
- Provide Health and Safety reports to the QEHS Director and Senior Leadership Team.
- Ensuring clear visibility of KPIs
- Acting as a formal investigator for major incidents and events under legal privilege.
- Identifying new initiatives that sustain the progressive improvement of the H&S Culture.
