Job description
Our client in Burlington is currently looking for Environmental Scientists and Technicians to join their Environmental practice.
Responsibilities
*conducting research and site walkovers for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
*supervising drilling, test pitting and/or other sampling methods (e.g., Phase II Environmental Site Assessments) at a variety of public and private-sector sites
*Coordinating and supervising contractors in underground tank removal and/or excavation of contaminated soil
*Sampling of soil, groundwater, and other media by various methods, and liaison with external analytical laboratories
*monitoring, maintenance, and operation of in situ remediation systems
*tabulating and interpretation of laboratory analytical results and hydro geologic information
*assisting in report /proposal preparation
*assisting in client development
*completing other tasks as they arise
Requirements
*an undergraduate degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Earth Science, Geology, or Engineering
*knowledge of geology and hydrogeology, environmental chemistry, sampling and analysis, and surveying
*a vehicle and valid driver's license (Class G) as the position involves some travel around Ontario
*previous experience is an asset
