Job description

Working culture is a big driver in finding the right opportunity, too often candidates choose money over culture and then end up working for a manager they don't like or a team they don't get along with and end up regretting it down the track. If you find this is the case, then perhaps this is the right opportunity for you.

This well-oiled family run rail construction contractor does things a little different then the average mob. They take care of their employees by giving them the keys to their own success, the same amount of trust is placed in everyone that comes on board and whether it's a Project Administrator or a Senior Project Manager, everyone's opinion is heard and all have the same level of trust placed upon them.

Due to the amount of rail projects undertaken concurrently, an experienced Contract Administrator is required to join the organisation initially in a part-time contract capacity with a look to move into a full time permanent role in down the line.

As the CA you will be assisting the full time legal counsel, working from a Southern-Sydney office based location on multiple concurrent rail projects in various locations around Australia.
Your responsibilities will include completing progress claims, handling variations and notices, engage and liaise with subcontractors and assist in taking the contract management side of things off the project delivery team to help streamline resources.

As the successful candidate you should be an experienced Contract Administrator with a proven track record of successful contract management provided in a tier 1 or 2 environment on multiple projects. Someone with the right attitude and drive to work autonomously, set their own schedule and self manage in order to get the job done with minimal supervision and assistance. Experience managing progress claims upstream and variations and notices downstream are also essential. Rail experience ieal but not essential.

In return you will be provided with an opportunity to work for a fantastic family run organisation, that takes care of their staff and guarantees an overall excellent culture where everyone is trusted equally and given equal opportunities. You will also be provided with a competitive hourly rate and if you live in the Shire of Sydney you will also have very short and easy commute and as such, avoid the hassle of the day to day grind of CBD commuting.

If this is something that you are interested in and you feel you match the brief, please get in touch with Andy Hitchcock today to submit your interest on 0435 099 566.
