Navartis is currently partnered with a global renewable energy business who have an exciting few years ahead. With projects already approved and under construction coupled with a healthy development pipeline, they are going from strength to strength as the country pushes further towards renewable energy.

Due to this continued growth and exciting phase in their development, they are now seeking to hire an Asset management manager/director, depending on your experience, on a permanent position in Brisbane.

Reporting to the General manager and investment director, this position will see you take on both technical and commercial functions. You will be responsible for implementing and establishing the Asset management framework which would include the following functions:

  • Business planning
  • Financial analysis
  • Operational and maintenance oversight and reporting
  • Contract administration and management
  • Site management
  • Environmental/regulatory compliance

In order to be successful you will be able to demonstrate considerable expertise in Asset management within the power industry, preferable from the generation or solar industry. Your commercial acumen will be high, as you will be expected to be in a position to negotiate, administrate and manage ongoing O&M agreements. You will be degree qualified in engineering but would have had previous experience and exposure to financing and accounting principles in a similar position.

This organisation is unique as they are a global business but still in growth mode here in Australia, so it is expected that you will be comfortable working in a fast paced environment and will have a high level of motivation and be results orientated. Essential responsibilities in this positions would include:

  • Annual and quarterly budgets (operational and financial)
  • Annual, quarterly and monthly performance reporting (operational and financial)
  • Financial analysis and industry standard reporting (i.e. variance reporting, discounted cash flows, etc.)
  • Assist in the due diligence input and maintenance of potential acquisitions
  • Create and maintain financial models for existing assets and potential acquisitions
  • Contract administration (e.g. billing, notifications, warranties etc.):
  • O&M contract administration
  • Connection agreement administration
  • Environmental compliance
  • Registration of LGCs and other regulatory requirements

In return you will be rewarded with a highly competitive remuneration package comprising of base salary, super and bonus. You will be based in Brisbane but there will be the expectation for you to travel out to the site locations across the country when required.
