Our client is looking to recruit a Technical Author to be based in the South West. The role will report into the Business Development Director. The ideal candidate for this role must be motivated and structured thinking. Be able to work as a team and be Customer focused. They must also be adaptability and have plenty of drive and energy Purpose of the Role - To coordinate the compilation of and assembly of the various bid deliverables. - To undertake the compilation of all technical information required for Tender submissions and contract documentation. - To review and convert information transmitted by the bid team into proper English without compromising the content or the purpose of the proposed text. - To carry our final proof reading to ensure that the content of the overall documentation is coherent and consistent. This role will require the successful candidate to ensure that all submissions are maintained to the highest standard. You must have a broad experience and knowledge of railway infrastructure project design and construction activity and ave a wide experience in tender bid activity. You must be able to understand a tender enquiry and the requirements management of it You will need to be available to work alongside a bid team and build up the review processes as the bid proceeds and to provide advice and guidance during the bid development phase. It is also essential that you are able to work alone and under pressured timescales when required and maintain a calm and helpful approach during the reviewing activity and be able to command respect during the change processes. It is also required that you have an excellent command of the English language and the technical language of railway project work. Other Possible Requirement/Skills " Personal Track Safety (Not essential) " Willing to work hours to suit tender deadlines " Willingness to lodge away as required Qualifications " Degree or similar standard of education " 10 years experience in railway project development, delivery and tendering " Full knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint functionality If you feel this is a job for you apply now.
